We are very proud of Charlee Hurlock, our Night Nurse Supervisor, who has been studying for the last two and a half years at Myerscough College – a specialist institute within the University of Central Lancaster. As well as her duties here at DWR, she has been working towards a Higher Education Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing. The majority of this has been achieved through a Distance Learning Course, visiting the college for 4 weekends per year. Between visits, she downloaded weekly study packs and completed a variety of assignments with exams at the end of the first 2 years. Her final task was to prepare a dissertion, for which she chose the topic of Pain-free Venipuncture in Small Animals.
