This beautiful kitten, called Jinx, was brought to us by Alresford Kitten and Feral Rescue when he was just 8 weeks old. He had a vascular ring anomaly, meaning that an abnormal major vessel from the heart was trapping the oesophagus and restricting passage of food. This can be seen on the left hand side of the x-ray below. Our surgery team operated and he recovered well, able to eat and swallow without difficulty.
He did so well that he was able to go home a day ahead of schedules, although our nurses found it hard to let him go!!!
