A recently published article in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery, by Luis Correa and our Head of Soft Tissue Surgery Jackie Demetriou, describes a study to assess surgical biopsy of abdominal lymph nodes in 51 cats. The study concludes that surgical biopsy of grossly enlarged or normal abdominal lymph nodes provides additional information to cytology and, in the majority of cases, is associated with a positive histological diagnosis.
