Our Emergency and Critical Care service is equipped to deal with all types of health emergencies in cats and dogs.
Examples of cases seen in this department include road traffic accidents, acute infections or ingestion of toxic substances.
The Emergency and Critical Care Team includes American, European and RCVS-Recognised Specialists, supported by committed veterinary nurses. The team is growing rapidly and has the benefit of working within a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, incorporating the most advanced equipment available. This allows the provision of an outstanding level of critical care in the event of life-threatening emergencies and patients requiring urgent attention, saving the lives of pets for whom conventional treatment is not an option. Access to our on-site diagnostic laboratories and imaging facilities ensures rapid diagnosis and early implementation of treatment; and because this service works in partnership with all the other specialties available in the clinic, patients benefit from a truly multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring that they receive the best possible care at all times.

"This is my 3rd emergency referral to you and have been professional, excellent communication and when you say you are ringing with information you always do. I wouldn't hesitate to put my beloved dogs in your care." "We arrived as an emergency and were immediately put at ease. We were listened to. Everything was explained in terms we could understand." "We brought my dog in on a Sunday due to an emergency and from the moment we walked in they made us feel incredibly trustworthy, the vets and vet nurses that looked after her were kind enough to give us twice daily updates on how she was doing and were so patient when answering our endless questions when we were so worried for her. From the reception to physios and everyone who helped our girl get better we really couldn't thank you enough!"
