Lorraine graduated from RVC in 1990 and gained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 1994. She spent 11 years at the Animal Health Trust and was involved in clinical work, research and teaching. Prior to joining DWR in 2020, she was Head of Ophthalmology at the Animal Health Trust.
