Our Anaesthesia Team provides sedation, local, regional and general anaesthesia, acute pain management and perioperative care support to patients requiring surgical or diagnostic procedures.
The Anaesthesia Service is led by Paolo Monticelli, working along with Consultant Specialists, Clinical Fellows, Residents and Intern vets.
The provision of Specialist anaesthesia services is highly variable among veterinary centres and we are proud to have a strong practice-wide ethos in providing top quality support and maximising safety. As veterinary medicine advances, the procedures available for diagnosing and treating serious medical or surgical conditions become ever more complex. We treat many high-risk patients and we provide anaesthesia for emergency procedures, using advanced anaesthetic techniques and state-of-the-art monitoring.
Our aim is to provide the highest standard of anaesthesia, analgesia and perioperative care to all patients, minimising pain and stress. We work closely with our colleagues in other disciplines in order to provide the best possible care, in particular regarding analgesic management and support of critically ill patients.
